Flat Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 5, 2026

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service govern the conditions and procedures for using the Flat software service (hereinafter "Service") provided by Flat (hereinafter "Company"), and define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Company and Users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

1. "Service" means the Flat program and all related online features provided by the Company.
2. "User" means any person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service.
3. "Account" means the ID and password created by a User to access the Service.
4. "Subscription" means the method of using the Service by paying a recurring monthly fee.

Article 3 (Validity and Amendments)

1. These Terms take effect when posted on the Service screen or notified to Users.
2. The Company may amend these Terms within the scope of applicable laws, providing 7 days' prior notice.
3. If a User does not agree to the amended Terms, they may discontinue use and cancel their account.

Article 4 (Use of Service)

1. Service use begins upon completion of installation.
2. A free trial of up to 10 uses is provided; a paid subscription is required thereafter.
3. The Service requires an internet connection; quality may vary depending on network conditions.
4. One account may be used on one device only. Device changes are limited to once per month.

Article 5 (Fees and Payment)

2. Payment is made via Company-designated payment methods.
3. Monthly fees auto-renew and are charged on the renewal date.
4. To cancel auto-renewal, Users must apply for cancellation by the day before the renewal date.

Article 6 (Refund Policy)

1. Service is available immediately upon payment; billing begins on the day of purchase regardless of purchase time.
2. Recurring subscriptions may be cancelled at any time from the subscription management page.
3. Purchased licenses are available immediately after payment and remain valid for the contracted period from the payment date.
4. Refund conditions:

   - Within 7 days from the payment date

   - Actual usage of 10 times or fewer

5. If either condition is exceeded, refunds are not available.
6. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
7. After cancellation, payment failure, or expiration, access to paid services will be restricted.

Article 7 (Service Suspension and Restriction)

1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service in the following cases:

   - Technical reasons such as system maintenance, repair, or replacement

   - Force majeure events such as natural disasters, power outages, or network failures

   - Outages of third-party APIs (OpenAI, Google, etc.)

2. The Company is not liable for service quality degradation caused by third-party API outages.
3. Service access may be restricted if payment fails due to suspended payment methods, exceeded limits, or changed payment information.

Article 8 (User Obligations)

1. Users are responsible for the use of content generated through the Service.
2. Users may not transfer, share, or sell their account credentials to others.
3. Users must not use the Service for any illegal purpose.
4. Users must not attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble the Service.

Article 9 (Intellectual Property)

1. All intellectual property rights in the software, algorithms, UI/UX, and content within the Service belong to the Company.
2. Users retain rights to content they generate through the Service (translations, images, etc.).

Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)

1. The Company is not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from a User's use of the Service.
2. The Company's liability for damages shall not exceed the monthly subscription fee for the applicable month.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution)

1. Disputes arising from use of the Service shall be resolved through mutual consultation.
2. If no resolution is reached, the court having jurisdiction over the Company's location shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
